Sumo19!

Dynamita is pleased to announce the release of Sumo19. If you’re looking for fast, precise predictions in established technologies (nite/denite/bio-P,chemP) or you’re into new advanced processes, Sumo is for you. This version took a long time to arrive after Sumo16, but we’re confident that you will agree that the improvements take it to a whole new level of process simulation.

Please check out the details What’s new in Sumo19.pdf and Why choose Sumo19.pdf.

The download from our website is fully functional except it cannot save or export results (demo version).

Drop us a line if you like it or even if you don’t. It will help us improve Sumo for an even more wonderful Sumo20 release.

Sumo in action

September 9 2016
When we mean fast, we mean very fast – here is a one year fully dynamic simulation of James River, a complex biofilm plant with DO control and film thickness changes and if you click on the figure, you’ll see the time it took on a Surface Book to run.

Dynamita team is growing – again

November 20, 2015

Dynamita is pleased to announce that Tanush Wadhawan and Hélène Hauduc has joined our team.

Tanush and Hélène bring a wealth of modeling and wastewater process experience to the Dynamita team. Tanush has a PhD from North Dakota state University, he did his Postdoc research at DCWater where led the biosolids research team, focusing on the thermal hydrolysis and codigestion processes. Tanush has experience with high-rate processes, industrial treatment and organic nitrogen removal as well. Tanush is based in our office in Southern Ontario, Canada.

Hélène defended her PhD on ASM-type model comparison codirected by Irstea (Antony, France) and modelEAU (Université Laval, Québec, Canada) in 2010. She completed a Postdoc and was a teaching assistant in Toulouse at INSA, where she worked on physico-chemical modelling of phosphorus precipitation in municipal and industrial wastewaters. Hélène is based in our Toulouse office in France.
The whole team (Imre, Bernhard, Robert, Zsolt, Erika and Csaba) welcome Tanush and Hélène to the team.

Sumo user’s first experience

September 2, 2013

Robert and Imre: I was able to run SUMO and in fact I did my first simulations. And, yes, within about an hour I am now able to do implement and run models on my own. This is excellent! So far, I very much like what I see! Best, Eberhard.

Strategic partnership with Biopolus

May 5, 2013

Dynamita’s main experience is in treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater in order for safe disposal into the environment. But we believe that the way ahead is energy and valuable material recovery and production(!), i.e. wastewater as a resource, and that this makes a lot of sense as the new vision in the 21st century. Surprise, surprise – there are other companies working towards the same goal. We’re pleased to find a strategic partner in Biopolus (http://www.biopolus.org/news), an innovative enterprise led by an outstanding thinker, István Kenyeres. We’re looking forward to this exciting cooperation with Biopolus.

Strategic partnership with inCTRL

May 1, 2013

Dynamita is happy to announce that in order to provide a wider range of services, we formed a strategic partnership with inCTRL, Canada, well-known specialists in instrumentation, monitoring and control. Dynamita and inCTRL will join forces in projects were Dynamita’s process model expertise and inCTRL’s instrumentation and control background will lead to the best model driven solutions for enhancing the control capabilities and ultimately the performance of utilities at the best possible cost/benefit ratio. See http://www.inctrl.ca/team.

Skype call, CH2MHill – Dynamita

[1/13/2013 7:56:45 PM] Bruce Johnson: boy imre… pretty slow…  9 seconds a day for a fully dynamic feed and 72 bioreactors split into 4 parallel trains.  Can’t you do any better than that? :O

[1/13/2013 8:00:21 PM] Imre Takacs: give me heart attacks!

[1/13/2013 8:00:35 PM] Bruce Johnson: LOL!!!!

[1/13/2013 8:00:49 PM] Bruce Johnson: very sweet imre

[1/13/2013 8:02:05 PM] Imre Takacs: great. I am going to relay this to the guys because they heard so much about speed from me, they are totally fed up

[1/13/2013 8:04:01 PM] Bruce Johnson: please do!  this is absolutely incredible how quick it is.

The model has 105 state variables including DO modelling.
